Animal Science students at the Career Center are training dwarf rats to perform certain behaviors using positive reinforcement, learned from a recent unit of study on Animal Behavior and Training. Some behaviors the rats have learned include going through obstacle courses, stand, and "high-five." Students first trained the rats to "target," a behavior that can be used to train other behaviors.
