Dual Enrollment (DE) Classes

Our students take dual enrollment (DE) classes to earn college credits from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) while in high school. DE means that students will earn credit through APS and NOVA simultaneously when completing a class with a C or higher. Some important elements of the program:

• DE Classes have GPA requirements for enrollment.  The GPA requirement varies with each class, so check with your counselor for specific information.
• Students interested in earning Associate’s Degrees or General Certificates should meet early with Ms Magro (dmagro@nvcc.edu) to plan pathways.
• All DE classes adhere to NOVA policies for credit.
