Project Based Learning (PBL) is a student centered approach to learning in which students discover content knowledge and develop skills through active exploration of real-world, real-time challenges and problems.
Arlington Tech students engage in PBL in all their classes (academic, CTE and electives). Learning through projects makes academic content tangible and learning motivating. Our projects serve real customers so students see the results of the work in real-time.
Arlington Tech’s unique Learning Framework is modeled on Project Based Learning. The image below describes each phase of a student’s learning path and the responsibilities of the learner.
The Arlington Tech Student/Family PBL Handbook provides details about the learning process used in all of our classroom – for a PDF of our handbook, click here.
