Prerequisite: Carpentry I or approval of instructor

DESCRIPTION: Carpentry II provides continued instruction on rough structural work and finished carpentry, using both wood and metal framing techniques. Students erect wood and metal frameworks including studding, floor joists, rafters, sheathing, subflooring, and partitions and learn to install finish molding, trim, hardware, and flooring. Students enrolled in Carpentry II also study and utilize computers and computer-assisted design programs to prepare related blueprints and designs.

Note: A credit earned in this course will fulfill the Fine / Practical Arts requirement for graduation.
