COME DEBATE WITH US VIRTUALLY!
Model United Nations (Model UN) is a club that prepares and participates in Model UN conferences throughout the year. Model UN conferences are student simulations of the proceedings of the United Nations. Students, or delegates, engage in debates by representing the countries they are assigned. Delegates will research their countries and the issues they are debating. At the conferences, typically on held on Saturdays, students will meet with hundreds of other students to solve the world’s problems.
Model UN is a student-run club, open to all students. We typically meet every Monday after school and during CC Support in room 504. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will now be releasing mostly asynchronous work. We will meet occasionally during office hours on Mondays, and we will participate in a Mock Conference until the real conferences start back up again and we are allowed to go. More detailed information will be posted on our Canvas page. This is a great way to keep your college applications interesting during distance learning!
