ACC Students Speak at Ford’s Theater

Eleventh grade Academic Academy students presented persuasive speeches at the “Stand Up, Be Heard” oratory program at the historic Ford’s Theater in Washington DC on May 23.  The students worked most of the year crafting speeches and refining their public speaking skills through a series of games and lessons facilitated by Ford’s Theater teaching artist Jennie Eng. Several of the students were featured on NBC4 News Washington as they prepared for the event.
