Arlington Tech Students Lay the Foundation for Political Engagement

Leah McFarlane, 10th grade English teacher at Arlington Tech, received a signed letter from President Biden last week addressed to four of our juniors.  Last year, during a project for their Dystopian unit, Kate Runion, Dagny Schnitger, Alexander Elliot, and Xander Haywood wrote to President Biden about the digital divide in the U.S. In their letter, they highlighted some proposed legislation that could impact equal access to technology and advocated for next steps in the legislative process. The White House responded highlighting several efforts the administration is championing that aim to close the divide and congratulating the team on their advocacy efforts.
