Career Center Collaborations – The “Little Room”

Students in Ruth Bilodeau’s Early Childhood Education II class, along with a student in Cassidy Nolan’s Computer Assisted Technology Drawing class, both at the Arlington Career Center, created a “Little Room” to enhance visual learning for a preschool student at Barrett Elementary School.  The students in Ms. Bilodeau’s class researched the elementary student’s needs and found materials and toys that would help her develop her vision skills, including: glittery stars, moons, lights, and musical toys. Avery Seip, a student in Mr. Nolan’s class, then helped create the architectural design of the room. The students delivered the “Little Room” to Barrett together in March and the young client was delighted by the final product.
