Culinary Arts Students Place 2nd in Foodservice Management at VA ProStart Invitational Competition

Congratulations to the the ACC Culinary Arts management team for placing 2nd in the Foodservice Management Competition, one of two distinct competitions at the VA ProStart Invitational Competition! This year’s event was hosted at JMU. Special thanks to Chef Renee Randolph for all her hard work in preparing the students.

About the VA ProStart Culinary Arts Competition
The Virginia ProStart Invitational is composed of two distinct competitions—management and culinary—that showcase the most important skills needed on both sides of the restaurant and foodservice industry—front-of-the-house and behind the scenes in the kitchen.

The Culinary Competition highlights the creative abilities of teams through the preparation of a three-course meal in just 60 minutes, using only two butane burners with no access to running water or electricity.
