ACC is a No Place for Hate School

ACC has been designated as having No Place for Hate by ADL for the 2022-2023 school year! Thank you to the ACC Equity Team for leading this work! We are thankful to our students, staff, families and community members for engaging in this process by signing the pledge and participating in meaningful discussions this spring. 

As we finish our school year and prepare for next year, remember the agreement that we have made to be a No Place for Hate community:

• I will seek to gain understanding of those who are different from me
• I will speak out against prejudice and discrimination
• I will reach out to support those who are targets of hate
• I will promote respect for people and help foster a prejudice-free school
• I believe that one person can make a difference—no person can be an “innocent” bystander when it comes to opposing hate
• I recognize that respecting individual dignity and promoting intergroup harmony are the responsibilities of all students.

¡El Equipo de Equidad de ACC se complace en anunciar que ACC ha obtenido la designación No Hay Lugar para el Odio para el año escolar 2022-2023! Agradecemos a nuestros estudiantes, personal, familias y miembros de la comunidad por participar en este proceso al firmar el compromiso y participar en discusiones significativas esta primavera. Al terminar nuestro año escolar y prepararnos para el próximo año, recuerde el acuerdo que hemos hecho para ser una comunidad sin lugar para el odio:

• Trataré de entender a los que son diferentes a mí.
• Hablaré en contra de los prejuicios y la discriminación.
• Apoyaré a los que son blanco del odio.
• Promoveré el respeto por las personas y ayudaré a fomentar una escuela libre de prejuicios.
• Creo que una persona puede marcar la diferencia, ninguna persona puede ser un espectador “inocente” cuando se trata de oponerse al odio.
• Reconozco que respetar la dignidad individual y promover la armonía entre grupos son responsabilidades de todos los estudiantes.
